Requested by royalty, celebrities and everyday women, Gerardo’s designs are headturning. This stunning canary yellow piece made an appearance in my showroom so I could see its amazing construction and hidden details.
Willfredo’s own collection began in 2014 with the “Willfredo Gerardo” label.
His breakthrough moment was not much later when Latin musician and actress, Ninel Conde requested that he design her dresses for the Univision, Premio Lo Nuestro awards show. From there began a long and continuing working relationship with the network. He has designed gowns for celebrities such as Rosalyn Sanchez and Chiquinquira Delgado for the Latin grammies and Keyshia Cole for the VMA’s.
His signature style is apparent in each of his dramatic pieces. He loves that no matter whom the woman is who is wearing his designs, he literally sees the transformation in their face once they put one of his garments on. There is a magical change giving every women a sense of style and confidence.
Proud of his Latin roots, he feels fortunate and blessed to have reached this place today where he runs a successful fashion business with a high end designer name well known and desired by women from every walk of life—from royalty, to celebrities, to women attending special occasions—they all want to have that signature sex appeal style of a Willfredo piece.
Always looking for the next thing to do, he has plans to pursue a ready to wear line accessible to the everyday woman and inclusive of all shapes, sizes and possibly an accessory line too.
If you happen to be in New York this February, I highly recommend attending the Art Hearts Fashion NYFW show where Willfredo will be presenting his newest collection. I will be there front row making the hard decisions about which gown I need to own.
A fun visit to the KBL Group Intl. showroom with the truly talented Willfredo Gerardo
