Telemedicine will be an integral part of the CIES program as an intermediary free-standing and unmanned station or “Health Box” has been designed to be positioned strategically in metropolitan areas using a telemedicine platform and blue tooth medical equipment.
The concept, already functional in Brazil, allows an individual to privately enter the Health Box and be seated in an “Ergo Chair” while they enter vital health information confidentially (HIPPA compliant) into an e-health personal health record (PHR) then can access anywhere there is broad-band and updated data is uploaded to their CIES Smart Card during the encounter.
During the visit basic anthropometric data is obtained from the Ergo Chair and easily utilized virtual medical equipment (i.e. blood pressure sphygmomanometer, blue tooth stethoscope, HDR “scope” for visualizing eyes, ears and throat).
With the swipe of a debit or credit or pre-paid card, the end user can automatically and instantaneously access a network of providers of every medical specialty and who speak a variety of languages for a medical consultation charged on a per minute basis.
