Hispanic Entrepreneur Founds Hispanic Kitchen

by Jorge Bravo

Within the pages of Latin Business Today, I hope to bring you different flavors by way of Hispanic Kitchen, from the familiar to the not so familiar. Some of you might be surprised to learn that Latin Caribbean food is not spicy. (In the English-speaking islands, they love hot peppers, but that’s another story.) The foods of Puerto Rico, Cuba and the Dominican Republic are rich in flavor but not heat. Not so in Mexico, as you probably know. Chiles are an integral part of Mexican cuisine, and help distinguish it from nearly all others in Latin America. In Argentina, you will find lots of meat dishes, but you will find lots of pasta, too, a legacy of the many Italian immigrants to that faraway land. And speaking of faraway lands, there is Spain, which has by virtue of its geography, diversity and history a unique cuisine and now one of the most admired in the world.

Look for our weekly recipes within the Work, Life & Culture section courtesy of our Hispanic Kitchen contributors. I hope you enjoy them. But most of all, I hope you savor them and share them.
¡Buen provecho!
