None of this could be accomplished without Jose’s passion and leadership, he assembled a talented team, attracted hundreds of volunteers and is connecting every day for a better future.
But there is always an emptiness in Jose’s heart; Our Mexican Diaspora.
For decades Tijuana has seen people on the go from Mexico to the US. There are millions of talented Mexicans who are building their future on the other side of the border. And nobody is concerned about bringing this diaspora together.
Until, Jose set his mind and heart to do this.
He is actively promoting the idea to build and nurture every node in the diaspora, and keep it connected both to Mexico and to the US. He believes that if we learn from Israel’s diaspora, there will be a better future for all. And the short term benefits in all of the human dimensions would be enormous.
Mexico heavily depends on the economic value that is coming from the immigrants that are connected to their families in Mexico, but what if we did this right?
What if this diaspora could feel more relevant, more capable, more valuable and more appreciated?
I believe Jose is right, I have decided to join his movement. Mr. Trump has identified this Diaspora and believes a wall should be built to disconnect them.
Well, let us see, please build this wall while we build an empowered and connected bi-national diaspora!
