Hispanic business leaders looking to increase productivity with tablets will find a plethora of options

After just a few years on the market, there’s little doubt that tablet computers are changing the way that business gets done. These portable devices combine the computing power and resources of a laptop, with the portability and usability of a smartphone. This combination is especially important for Hispanic business leaders, as the emerging Hispanic market turns on a dime and requires small business owners to be continuously connected to their important business applications.

Every week another new player in the tablet space becomes available, making it difficult for small business owners to keep up with all of the options. This list will examine the 10 most popular tablets on the market through the lens of a small business owner looking to break out in the Hispanic market.

The New iPad

The latest offering from Apple, often referred to as the iPad 3, the new iPad combines everything that a small business owner could want from a tablet. The Retina display is superior when it comes to screen clarity and resolution, the 5 MP rear camera ensures that captured pictures are clear and sharp and the 4G wireless option allows for some of the fastest wireless speeds available. The iPad also allows users to take advantage of Apple’s App Store, featuring a wide selection of tested and tablet-specific apps.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is one of the few Android tablets that comes close to the iPad regarding design and feel. The 10.1-inch screen looks bright and beautiful, and holds up even in fairly bright conditions. Like most Android tablets, the Galaxy Tab runs on the 3.1 version of the operating system, which offers some tweaks specifically designed for tablet devices. The tablet offers a 3 MP rear camera, which is more than enough to capture detailed pictures, but the device lacks USB and SD Card slots, reducing its connectivity options. Business owners who like what the Galaxy has to offer, but want a more recent operating system and more connectivity options may want to try the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, which offers these features at the expense of a slightly smaller screen.

Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

The Asus Eee Transformer Prime is designed to provide an option for people who sometimes love the feel of a laptop, but need the extreme portability of a tablet. The Prime comes with an optional dock, for an added cost, that provides a full, external QWERTY keyboard. This dock not only lets you use the tablet like a laptop, but also provides an extra battery. The Prime runs on Android’s latest operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich, and uses a quad-core Tegra T3 processor ensuring a blazing fast tablet experience. The Prime has been highly reviewed, ranking within CNET’s top five tablets and in the top five tablets reviewed on Amazon.
