José Alex Gómez has joined La Opinión as director of marketing. Most recently, he was account director at Ethnic Marketing Group, where he was leading the Hispanic-integrated marketing efforts for ConAgra Foods. In 2002, Mr. Gómez also started his own agency, GrupoGómez Publicidad, right after leaving Anita Santiago Advertising where he had been executive vice president of strategic services. Prior to that, he worked as account supervisor/director at several advertising agenciesAd Americas (now Castells & Asociados), Dieste & Partners, and BBDO Worldwide, where he developed creative marketing campaigns and supported product launches for clients such as Pepsi-Cola, Mitsubishi Motor Sales, Pizza Hut, NIKE, Carls Jr. and Vons Grocery.
