Can Human Design Unlock Your Business Potential?
What is Human Design and How It Can Enhance Your Business?
Some say Human Design can be a blueprint for personal & professional empowerment in business.
I came across Human Design in 2020 on one of my many quarantine personality test quests. This discovery, however, felt different – profoundly different. Exploring my Human Design chart was like looking into a mirror that finally reflected the truest version of myself. It articulated my essence in ways I could never.
I was so in awe and deeply curious that I ended up taking the ‘Living Your Design’ course with the International Human Design School. I learned Human Design can not only help me in my personal development, but my professional one as well.
So, what exactly is Human Design?
Human Design is a self-discovery system that integrates astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah, and the chakra system. Developed by Ra Uru Hu in 1987, Human Design analyzes your birth chart to provide insight into your unique personality, innate strengths, and how you’re designed to make aligned decisions.
Think of it as a personalized life manual, showcasing how your so-called flaws are your strengths. Unlike other self-development methods, Human Design is like a fresh, shiny permission slip, encouraging self-acceptance without the pressure of constant change, allowing the beauty of your authenticity to shine through.
In Human Design, individuals are classified into four specific types:
1. Generator (including Manifesting Generator): Making up around 70% of the population, generators are our driving life force, here to experience satisfaction.
2. Projector: Comprising approximately 20% of the population, projectors are our intuitive guides, here to experience success.
3. Manifestor: About 9% of the population, manifestors are our visionaries, here to experience peace.
4. Reflector: Representing around 1% of the population, reflectors are our mirrors, here to experience surprise.
We’ll dig more into each type in a bit.
Individuals are also classified into five specific authorities. Your authority serves as a guide for you to know if something is correct for you or not. Combined with your type, this is known as your Strategy & Authority – your unique decision-making tool.
Your actual chart, known as the Body graph, includes information about both the conscious and unconscious aspects of your personality.
Yes, it’s a complex system, which is why it’s so remarkably specific. If you want to learn more about your Human Design, I recommend starting with the official website, where you can pull your chart for free and start exploring.
How Can Human Design Enhance Your Business
Essentially, Human Design helps you understand how you exert energy, interact with others, and make aligned decisions. Understanding this can help you:
- Streamline your workflow for more efficiency – you know, work smarter not harder.
- Foster stronger relationships with peers
- Boost your confidence by embracing your innate strengths and individuality.
- Provide insight into your distinctive ways of helping others.
- Learn to trust yourself when making significant or minor business decisions.
And ultimately, using your Strategy & Authority to make decisions will guide you to a life of more peace, success, satisfaction, or surprise (depending on your type).
The 4 Human Design Types in Business
Generator and Manifesting Generator
Generators are designed for sustainable, energized work. In a business context, they thrive in roles where they can engage their energy over time, excelling in tasks that ignite their passions and truly excite them. When they follow their Strategy & Authority, it will lead to less frustration and more satisfaction.
Projector
Projectors excel as guides and advisors in business. Thriving when recognized and invited, they contribute strategic insights, team management, and specialized expertise. When they follow their Strategy & Authority, they will experience less bitterness and more success.
Manifestor
Manifestors are natural initiators and are often best suited for entrepreneurial ventures, leadership roles, or projects where they can independently set the direction and make decisions. When they follow their Strategy & Authority, they will experience less anger and more peace.
Reflector
Reflectors quite literally reflect the environment around them. So, it’s important they’re given the freedom to adapt and respond to shifting dynamics, allowing them to thrive in the variety and change. They may find success in roles that involve analysis, evaluation, and providing insights based on their unique perspective. When they follow their Strategy & Authority, it will lead to less disappointment and more surprise.
It’s important to remember Human Design serves as a valuable self-development tool – take what resonates with you and feel free to experiment. Use it to gain insights into yourself and others, paving the way for experiencing success in your own unique way. And most importantly, have fun experimenting with Human Design!
