Tip 3. Keep items in your office (pre-plan!) to style up your look (reconstruct!)

Ladies, a pair of open toe shoes, a glitter clutch/evening bag, and a statement necklace fit easily in a desk drawer and will dress up your outfit and add character to your look.

If wearing a blouse and a skirt, think about a colored belt and earrings.

Gentlemen, the same goes for you. A light leather jacket easily kept on a coat hanger can replace your blazer and transform your look effortlessly.

A pair of jeans kept in your office drawer can be worn with your shirt and tie, to add a touch of agile to your professional appearance. If you leave on your oxfords or loafers, remember to wear the matching belt with your jeans!

Don’t overdo it, you only need a few touches to change your look.

Tip 4: Make it personal!

Always focus on finding a good fit that flatters your body and on achieving a look that reflects who you are. This will make you feel confident and at ease, and will convey what makes you unique.

Takeway-Recap:

~ Office-wear that you can un-layer

~ Base outfits that you can loosen up a notch

~ Pre-planned items that add character to your base outfit

~ A good fit for your body and personality

Remember that in networking happy hours, the personal is professional.

If you still have questions about how to dress, or comments you want to share, I would love to hear from you!
