Fashionably Ready For A Cause…Rock on 4 Autism

by Tina Trevino

Hello Fashionistas,
The colors are changing, the leaves are falling, and we are turning the corner into autumn. It’s time to bring on the capes, ponchos, puffy jackets, scarves, boots–and all of the fun fall/winter accessories. I always say if we have to leave summer behind, we leave it in style and take advantage of all the fun fall accessories that are out there to make us feel better about the mercury dropping or in this day and age the digital digits dropping!

Puffy cocoon shrug from Sinquanone (Paris) and scarf from Dorothy Perkins (London) my most recent trend shopping trip.

And with fall kicking off, it’s is once again time for the annual October, Rock On 4 Autism benefit concert. Hats off to being the 8th season of getting this wonderful event organized. It is an evening of fun that helps provide funding dedicated towards helping children with autism develop better social skills, bring educational, emotional and supportive opportunities and services to those with autism and their families, and raising acceptance and awareness to the public about this developmental disability.  The goal is to help assist those on the Autism spectrum to become highly functioning and contributing members of their community.

This is the 2nd year that the band, Almost Famous, has been honored to participate in this event.

Please check out the mini video link created by Willie Airaldi to give you a sneak peak of Almost Famous covering the song “Hole Hearted”.
There will be plenty of fun give-aways and events surrounding the concert, some special musical guests and you couldn’t choose a better venue than the Palace Theater in Stamford for a high energy rock concert!!
