3. Garbage Day
I would say that for the past 3 months, I have spent more money on garbage bags than what I have spent over the past 3 years.
Don’t be afraid to throw things away. Keep the “saving for a rainy day” limited to the green stuff known as cash and you will be fine.
Items should be sorted by what you want to keep, what you want to give away, and what you need to throwaway.
4. Get excited!!
The sale of a home and moving for me and my children, dogs and cats has not been easy.
In fact, it has been very difficult.
Divorce-related circumstances have unique issues and trying to see the silver lining can be most challenging. If moving is a burden for you, shift and reframe the heavy task.
Look at it as a form of cleansing and starting over.
Make the conscious decision to believe that “better is just around the corner” and I assure you it will find you!
So whether you are moving now, later or never, take these tips, add your own and don’t be surprised when a $500.00 bill appears from your past, you had all but forgotten about!
