According to the Media Behavior Institute, 43.5 percent of its survey participants accessed the Internet via a mobile phone each week during the period ending in January 2013, an 8-percentage-point increase over the period ending in July 2012. I have observed this same trend in hotel websites in the state of Hawaii, with in some cases mobile access reaching close to 50 percent of monthly website traffic.
