View These 5 Web Content Tools for Your Business

4. The Tweeted Times

Similar to Paper.li, The Tweeted Times gives you the chance to create tailored “newspapers,” but unlike Paper.li, it sources only from Twitter. You can create papers based on your own Twitter activity or around specific topics via hashtags or keyword searches.

You can select a time to publish the paper, and it will automatically be tweeted out to your followers. Here is an example I created based on a Twitter search for “social media” or “social business.”

5. Pinterest

I’d be remiss to not mention Pinterest in the content curation conversation. Part social network, part visual content curation platform, Pinterest has taken the social media scene by storm. According to a Pew study released in early 2013, 15 percent of American Internet users are on now Pinterest (just a shade behind Twitter).

Pinterest is all about visual content—from images to infographics. You can “pin” images to boards themed around different topics. This could be a fantastic way to highlight your portfolio (if in a field like photography or Web design) or drive traffic back to your company Website, where customers may be able to buy certain products. A great example, shared by Mark Alves at a DC SEM Meetup back in March, is a New York City dry cleaner that used Pinterest to highlight its skills when it came to stain removal and restoration. Some clever thinking!

As more and more content is created on digital channels, the ability to discover and share it effectively and creatively will be an invaluable skill. Start experimenting with these tools to find ways that make sense for you and your business.
