During this Holiday season we are looking towards incorporating an attitude of gratitude. Gratitude is our way to show appreciation for what we have, instead of focusing on what we lack. Living in a state of gratitude is a way to shift our mindset into a frequency of appreciation. When we shift our focus from ourselves and our situations to a state of appreciation towards people, things, or situations, it gives us a chance to be grateful for various factors of our life.
With an attitude of gratitude, we can create a conscious routine of expressing thankfulness for large and minor things in life on a regular basis. We can show gratitude for our health, work, relationships, the things we have, and for our general sense of safety, security, and well-being.
To develop an attitude of gratitude the first step is deciding to become appreciative of the simple things we have in our lives. And although it takes some intentionality to develop an attitude of gratitude, it is never too late to start, and it can be one of the healthiest habits you can cultivate to create a fulfilling and purposeful life.

Developing an Attitude of Gratitude
Incorporating gratitude starts with a state of optimism. The ups and downs of life may be challenging at times, but by tackling our challenges with an optimistic perspective, we begin to gain the ability to confront what at times may seem impossible.
Experience has taught me to take things slow and move one step at a time, this allows for me to be grateful for every step I take that brings me closer to my personal or professional objectives.
With an attitude of gratitude, we may begin to operate from a space of peace and abundance, as we cultivate a mindset that allows us to feel happier, positive, and compassionate with ourselves and others. As we focus on the things that allow us to feel thankful, we start to develop healthier habits that allow us to express appreciation for the things that truly matter to us in our lives.
Being in Gratitude is a Habit
To develop an attitude of gratitude, we must create a daily habit of being appreciative and grateful for everything we appreciate in our lives. When we Are expressing appreciation towards our health, relationships, business, home, and mindset, these factors gain additional value in our lives and allow us to focus on the things that are truly essential to us.

- Commit to adapting a gratitude practice
- Ask yourself what you can be grateful for and journal on those things
- Close the day with gratitude for at least three things that happened that day
- Reflect on your life’s accomplishments and give yourself credit for all wins, small or big, that you have accomplished
- Be grateful for the individuals that have been there to inspire, help, or support you

- Surround yourself with individuals who have a grateful disposition
- Give daily thanks for what you have and where you are this moment in life
Living in a state of gratitude increases our confidence and self-esteem. Being grateful improves how much joy we experience in the present moment regardless of what is going well or not going well in our lives, it allows us to focus on the positive, instead of dwelling on the negative. When we are experiencing gratitude daily, it not only improves our frequency and vibration, but it also begins to bleed on to all other people we encounter.
Take time to stop and smell the roses; appreciate life and take in all the beauty it offers. You can start by adopting any of the methods above and begin to create an attitude of gratitude today.
