Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with La Magica Margarita (Recipe)

A Fresh Spin on the Classic Margarita

If you’re like us at Latin Biz Today, we’re always looking for fun new food and drink recipes that we can whip up for get togethers and fun celebratory occasions.

For those of you getting ready to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, our favorite mixologist, Dee Ann Quinones joins us to share her twist on this refreshingly tart and sweet libation.

Dee shares her special craft cocktail with us here.

“The traditional margarita consists of 3 simple ingredients – tequila (blanco), triple sec, and fresh (always fresh) lime juice, but I’m making a few of my favorite substitutions to shake things up!

Here’s my easy recipe to create 1 cocktail.

In a shaker mix the following:

2 oz. mezcal (I love Bruxo X)

3/4 oz fresh squeezed mandarin juice

3/4 oz. honey syrup

ice

Strain over ice and garnish with thyme or yerba buena (similar to mint)

Viva Mexico and enjoy!
