Business travelers and tourists alike will find luxury group accommodations, restaurants, spas and water activities abound on this island paradise
We recently had the pleasure of organizing a large group to Grand Cayman, the largest of the three Cayman Islands and a territory of the United Kingdom. George Town, located at the southwest knuckle of Grand Cayman, is the capitol and largest city. Grand Cayman’s Seven Mile beach, on the west coast north of George Town, is one of the finest beaches in the world.
It is no surprise the Cayman Islands know how to work well with the tourism market and especially accommodating when working with groups whether for business travelers or pleasure seekers.
Most of the major carriers fly to Grand Cayman including United, Delta, US Airways, American, etc. We flew from New York City on the national carrier Cayman Air, with outstanding service. The flight time was a relatively quick four hours from New Yorks JFK Airport. Cayman Air has recently added two flights from Dallas every week as well.
Upon arriving in Grand Cayman we quickly retrieved our luggage and moved swiftly through customs where our transportation company was waiting to wisk us away.
Westin Casuarina Resort & Spa
The majority of islands hotels are located along Seven Mile Beach. Our group chose The Westin Casuarina Grand Cayman which offers superb cuisine, a magnificent beach with numerous activities and terrific service for large to midsized groups of business and pleasure travelers.
Fronting the famous Seven Mile Beach, The Westin Casuarina Resort & Spa is in the heart of Grand Cayman. Named to Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List, the resort, nestled among tropical palm and Casuarina trees, is situated on 700 feet of the most pristine white sand of Seven Mile Beach. The resort has been recognized for its excellence. With the largest freshwater pool in Grand Cayman, guests can enjoy the relaxation of two hot tubs, poolside courtyard café and pool bar. This poolside location also serves as an excellent venue to host welcome receptions, which business travelers may find helpful if visiting the island for an event. Red Sail Sports, Grand Cayman’s premier dive operator with 25 years serving divers in the Cayman Islands, is based on property at the Westin Casuarina, giving guests access to scuba diving, snorkeling and many other water activities as well as choices of things to do in Grand Cayman to make this a most memorable occasion.
