Involve your family

This to me has to be the most important. By getting your loved ones involved you not only get their help but they will also have a better understanding as to why your having all those emotional meltdowns in your closet. (Trust me…you will have them). The truth is, letting go of our past, even when it’s represented in our clothes, can be very painful. Having support whether it’s from family or friends is critical to the outcome.

For me, I decided to recruit my daughters and my son’s girlfriends (I have 3 sons).  There was no shortage of opinions and they all love to shop. Visiting consignment shops has also become very commonplace and impromptu fashion shows are now a usual after dinner family affair. We now have our own version of “What not to wear” right in our own kitchen!

Remember, you can’t expect new to come into your life if you don’t make room for it.  This is true in every aspect of your life including your wardrobe.  Ask for help, create a new you and bring your loved ones along for the ride! Be open to change and trust that you will find your new and improved “Business Fashion Groove” again, as you travel your own Yellow Brick Road!
