How to Put Purpose and Passion Into Your Small Business

 8.  Notice how you talk about your work and immediately stop all language that is negative.

 7.  Become a keen observer of your co-workers.

Respect everyone, but choose to hang out only with those that are happily doing their jobs. Do not indulge in gossip of any kind.

 6.  Volunteer at least once every month at a youth organization where you can teach children about the purpose of what you do for a living and how it plays a role in society.

 5.  Begin each day sitting in silence for at least 15 minutes.

Set the intention to find meaning in at least one event, one project, one meeting, or one conversation…today.

 4.  Practice gratitude.

Find something every day about your job that you can appreciate, like that you even have a job!

 3.  Commit to doing your job better than anyone else in that role ever has – because you can.

 2.  Believe in yourself.

Have courage with your ideas, and identify a mentor within your company that will champion your creativity.

1.  Conjure up a personal vision.

Make sure it’s bigger than yourself and make a stand every day in some way for that, even if it is just in your imagination. For example, if you are a financial planner, hold the vision for all of humanity to experience financial abundance.

Don’t wait, often in frustration, until you can have the job of your dreams so you can experience purpose and passion.

Instead, put purpose and passion into everything you do and before you know it you will be making a living doing what you love.
