Latina Cuban American Making Strides in Clinical Research

by Phyllis Cambria

Meet Naty Diaz, 2025 Hispanic Woman Od Distinction, Founder and CEO, Prestige Clinical Research Center, Inc.

“Hispanic women have deep roots in their culture and a future-minded approach. It’s important for them to serve as a role model and prove that when women lead with purpose and passion, they change lives.”

With a career spanning over 36 years, Naty Diaz stands as a trailblazing force in the healthcare and clinical research industry. More than two decades ago, she founded multiple groundbreaking research and healthcare organizations including Prestige Clinical Research Center, Inc., Prestige Clinical Research South, LLC, Prestige Clinical Health, LLC, and Prestige Health Services, LLC.

Born in Miami of Cuban descent, Naty not only pioneered advancements in clinical trials, but because of her awareness of how cultural, ethnic and socio-economic differences can affect patient care, it is her deep personal mission to ensure that research represents all communities.

With a strong foundation in healthcare and business strategy, Naty is known for her tenacity in securing partnerships, opening opportunities, and leading with both intellect and empathy. Her persistence and excellence has led her to join forces with over twenty pharmaceutical and medical research giants including Janssen, AstraZeneca, TEVA, Pfizer, and GlaxoSmithKline.

Beyond her professional achievements, Naty is a dedicated philanthropist, devoting her time and resources to organizations that uplift underserved communities such as Amigos For Kids, Angels for Humanity, Voices for Children, American Red Cross, New Horizon Mental Health and many others. She also provides numerous mentorship opportunities. Her sponsorships and volunteerism have led her to be honored with a Donor Next Door Recipient award from Amigos for Kids and the RockStar Award from the Miami Women Who Rock, just to name a few.

She and her spouse of thirty years, Alexeis Diaz, who works in IT, have three daughters, Samantha, Jessica and Yanelis. In her very rare free time, her favorite vacation spot is the Florida Keys.
