Meet Angelina Nicole Campos, 2025 Hispanic Woman of Distinction UP & COMER, Legal Clerk, Skeen Law Group

“Getting ahead is just the beginning. Latina women should strive to invest in the same communities that raised us, believed in us, and taught us what resilience looks like.”

Angelina Nicole Campos

Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Angelina grew up in a vibrant Peruvian-Colombian household where her parents emphasized culture, compassion, and community. Surrounded by a large extended family and spending summers in Peru, she developed a deep-rooted pride in her heritage that continues to shape her personal and professional life. For 14 years, she was a competitive synchronized swimmer and even briefly represented Peru internationally. Though she once dreamed of becoming an Olympian, she ultimately chose to follow her calling to become an attorney—trading in her swim cap for a courtroom suit, guided by a desire to advocate for others.

Angelina is a recent graduate of Florida International University, where she earned a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy, with certificates in Pre-Law and Ethics. She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and served as captain of the fraternity’s mock trial team, placing 4th nationally. Her love for litigation and the courtroom was further cultivated through her role as Director of Civil Discourse for her pre-law fraternity, where she hosted debate tournaments, public speaking workshops, and civil discourse programming to empower others to speak up and lead.

She has committed herself to advocacy efforts centered on youth, equity, and access to justice. As a volunteer Guardian Ad Litem, Angelina represents children in the foster care system, ensuring their voices are heard in court and their needs are met with dignity. She has also taught religious education for eight years, guiding children through both spiritual and personal growth. She currently works in civil litigation, slowly but surely focusing on trial work and finding herself in the courtroom more and more.

Her community activism includes long-standing involvement with United Way, where she has spoken on Spanish-language mental health panels and helped organize prevention campaigns on underage drinking.

In her downtime, she loves paddle boarding, reading, and exploring new places around Florida!
