Small Business Desk Yoga…Are you for real?

Seated Twist
It doesn’t take very long of sitting to find your lower back stiff and tight. To keep yourself loose, the Seated Twist is a great way to help loosen tight worn-out muscles. The twisting is great for massaging the abdominal organs, (if you know what I mean) helping to improve digestion, and is a great stress reliever.
Start by sitting tall in your chair with the soles of your feel flat on the floor. Take in inhale to lengthen your spine and as you exhale twist your spine towards the right and hold the arm of your chair to deepen the twist. As you exhale you’ll find yourself deepening your twist. Take your gaze over your right shoulder and make sure to keep your hips centered in your chair. Do the same on the other side and repeat this 3-5 times each.
Remember your breath is key in all poses. Inhaling clean, pure breath and exhaling that which does not serve you is key to all yoga poses. Always be mindful of relaxing your shoulders and notice your face and the muscles around your eyes. We often times will squint and not realize the tension we carry around our eyes and jawline.
Relax each body parts from head to toe, sit at your desk, find your breath and do your Start Best Desk Yoga starting today!
